She carries out her research activity in translational medicine. Her studies in the field of oncology have produced an original and exclusive protocol for the execution of liquid biopsy and CTCs cultivation directly form the peripheral blood samples of cancer patients. She coordinated CHARA.C.T.EX project, observational study on the characterization of tumour cells derived from peripheral blood, bone marrow and from tumour, tissue analysed through multiparametric cytometric panel and in vitro expanded with Prot. CHARA.C.T.EX, since 2013 to date. In the cardiologic field, she coordinated for the south Italy, a multicentre project for the standardization of haematological values of circulating endothelial cells through multiparametric panels in cytometry. Moreover, she has conducted studies for the use of autologous stem cells in human adults and in mice, to transfer in functionalized scaffolds for tissue regeneration.
